Born in 2004, Shea currently plays for Syracuse and occasionally for FC Buffalo, showcasing her talents as a formidable goalkeeper. Shea's list of achievements is nothing short of extraordinary. She was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team and was on the 2023 ACC Preseason Watch List. Ranked as the 27th best freshman, Shea has also been recognized twice as the Player of the Year, making history as the first goalkeeper to receive this award in New York. Her recruitment journey began in the 8th grade, but it was anything but smooth sailing. The COVID-19 pandemic created numerous obstacles, including a dead period during her freshman year, which made the recruitment process incredibly stressful. Coaches called her non-stop from 9 AM to 6 PM, eager to have her join their teams. With in-person visits off the table, Shea had to rely on virtual tours and drone videos to explore campuses. Despite these challenges, she conducted thorough research and received many offers. Ultimately, Shea chose Syracuse after a video tour, falling in love with the coaches, program, and the school's academic opportunities. Her resilience and adaptability during this time are truly inspiring.

Last summer, Shea had her first experience playing in the UWS with FC Buffalo. Coach Nikki invited her to train with the team, and Shea quickly adapted to the competitive environment. Training alongside players from overseas, Shea was exposed to the best of the best, which only fueled her desire to improve and excel. Although she had to leave early for school, Shea cherished the experience and looks forward to future opportunities. Her ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment speaks volumes about her character and determination.

Outside of soccer, Shea enjoys hiking, working out, spending time with family and friends, and shopping. She also has endorsements with PB Fit and Built Bars, reflecting her growing influence in the sport. Shea's parents have always emphasized the importance of hard work, instilling in her the belief that "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." This mantra has guided her throughout her journey, serving as a constant reminder to push herself to new heights.
