What is the UWS?

The United Women's Soccer (UWS) league, established in late 2015, is a national pro-am league that plays a crucial role in the development of female soccer players in the United States and Canada. It serves as a bridge between collegiate soccer and the professional and international levels, offering a competitive summer season for players to develop and enhance their skills. The league is organized into multiple regional conferences, and it has a reputation for high standards in terms of team operation and player development. UWS also emphasizes media exposure and professional standards to promote women's soccer and enhance the game's visibility.

UWS has expanded significantly since its inception, adding new teams and conferences to accommodate growing interest and participation. It also features a second division, UWS League Two, aimed at younger players in the U20-U23 age group, fostering development and providing a pathway to the first division.
