Player Spotlight: Rinsola Babajide

Rinsola Babajide, born on June 17, 1998, in London, England, is a professional soccer player known for her roles as a forward and winger. Babajide began her career at Crystal Palace F.C. (Women) before joining Millwall Lionesses L.F.C. in January 2015, where she made her professional debut in a FA WSL match against the London Bees. Her journey continued at Watford F.C. Ladies, where she transferred in February 2017 and soon became the club's joint top scorer in the 2017 Spring Series.

Her move to Liverpool F.C. Women in January 2018 marked a significant step in her career, enabling her to showcase her skills in the FA Women’s Super League (FA WSL), the highest division of women’s soccer in England. Despite Liverpool's relegation from the FA WSL after the 2019-20 season, Babajide's performance remained noteworthy. She was Liverpool's second-highest goal scorer in the 2018-19 WSL season and the joint second-highest in the 2019-20 season. Her first professional hat-trick for Liverpool F.C. Women came in April 2019, during their 5-2 win over Bristol City.

Internationally, Babajide has made her mark as well. She was a part of the England U20s squad that won bronze at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. In September 2020, she was included in a training camp for the England senior team. However, with her Nigerian heritage, Babajide also had the option to represent Nigeria, and she made her debut for the Nigerian national team in October 2023.
