Chelsea vs Manchester City (0-1)

Manchester City delivered a significant blow to Chelsea's title aspirations with a 1-0 victory at Kingsmeadow, thanks to a goal from Bunny Shaw in the 14th minute. This win propelled City to level on points with Chelsea at the top of the WSL standings, with the teams now only separated by goal difference and eight league matches left in the season. Chelsea had a strong penalty appeal turned down in the first half when Mayra Ramirez was caught by Alex Greenwood, and they were also denied a late equalizer by a stunning double save from City's teenage goalkeeper Khiara Keating in stoppage time. The match was a tightly contested affair, with both teams showcasing their defensive prowess. However, City's ability to convert their chance and hold on to their lead has added an extra layer of excitement to the WSL title race, making the remaining fixtures even more crucial for both teams.

Arsenal vs Manchester United (3-1)

Arsenal Women secured a crucial 3-1 victory against Manchester United in the Barclays Women's Super League at Emirates Stadium. Goals from Cloe Lacasse and Kim Little in the first half set the tone for the match, with Arsenal dominating the proceedings. Despite a late consolation goal from United's Lucía García, Arsenal's performance was solid, moving them within three points of the top of the WSL table. The win was significant as Arsenal hadn't beaten United in the league since 2021, and it sets the stage for a highly anticipated north London derby after the international break.

Brighton vs Liverpool 🟥 (0-1)

Liverpool secured their first Women's Super League win of 2024 with a narrow victory at Brighton, thanks to a goal from captain Ceri Holland. Holland capitalized on a misplaced clearance by Brighton goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley to score the only goal of the match. Despite having the majority of chances, Liverpool faced a well-organised Brighton defense that limited their opportunities. Holland was sent off in stoppage time for receiving a second yellow card, and she will be suspended for the upcoming WSL game against Aston Villa. The win keeps Liverpool fifth in the table, while Brighton's second consecutive league defeat leaves them second from the bottom.

Everton vs West Ham (2-0)

Everton secured their first Women's Super League home win of the season with a 2-0 victory over West Ham United, thanks to late goals from Martina Piemonte and Aurora Galli. Piemonte opened the scoring in the 83rd minute with a header from a Galli free-kick, and then set up Galli for a powerful strike into the top corner four minutes later. The win ended Everton's run of four straight WSL defeats and moved them into ninth place, further distancing themselves from the bottom of the table. The only negative for Everton was a serious injury to substitute Karoline Olesen, who was stretchered off the field.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa (1-2)

Aston Villa secured a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Women's Super League (WSL) with goals from Adriana Leon and Jordan Nobbs. Liverpool climbed to within two points of fourth-placed Manchester United after a 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, despite Ceri Holland receiving a red card. Everton moved to ninth in the table with a 2-0 win over West Ham United, thanks to late goals from Martina Piemonte and Aurora Galli. Leicester City's 5-2 win against Bristol City has almost confirmed Bristol's relegation from the WSL. The title race remains tight, with Chelsea and Manchester City level on points at the top, followed by Arsenal in third.

Leicester City vs Bristol City (5-2)

Leicester City came from behind to secure a thrilling 4-2 victory against Bristol City in the Women's Super League at King Power Stadium. Despite dominating the game, Leicester went behind due to a goal by Ffion Morgan but quickly equalized through Yuka Momiki and took the lead with Saori Takarada's goal. Bristol's Amalie Thestrup leveled the score after the break, but Janice Cayman and Jutta Rantala's goals ensured a win for Leicester. The result leaves Bristol City at the bottom of the table, five points from safety, while Leicester sits in seventh place with 16 points. The match showcased Leicester's attacking prowess, with 30 shots and 72.1% possession, highlighting their dominance in the final third.
