Season: March 2026 – November 2026

Locations (only a few NWSL markets left): Washington DC (Washington Spirit), Salt Lake City (Utah Royals), Houston (Houston Dash), North Carolina (NC Courage), Orlando (Orlando Pride)

Are you passionate about women’s soccer? Do you dream of sitting alongside professional reporters, interviewing top players, and getting hands-on experience in sports media?

Goalside Gossip is launching our 2026 Internship Program, and we are looking for Matchday Media Associates in your city to take the field with us.

How It Works: 

  1. Pre-Game: You will arrive 1 hour early to distribute roster cards to fans outside the stadium, using unique QR codes to track your impact.

  2. In-Game: You will enter the stadium using media credentials (provided). From the press box to the mixed zone, you will document the game, create content, and interview players.

Success Stories from Previous Seasons: Our interns don't just watch; they participate. Past interns have:

  • Interviewed USWNT stars like Alex Morgan, Trinity Rodman, & Hal Hershfelt.

  • Gained exclusive pitch-side access at 8 different NWSL stadiums and Wembley Stadium in London.

  • Interviewed international talents like Nathalie Björn and Alessia Russo

Responsibilities:

  • REQUIRED: Must be able to attend at least 80% of home matches.

  • Fan Engagement: Distribute roster cards before the match to help grow the women’s soccer community and drive subscriber growth.

  • Social Media: Brainstorm, film, and edit one engaging social media post per week for Goalside Gossip channels.

  • Journalism: Attend post-match press conferences and conduct player interviews.

  • Consistency: Attend at least 90% of home matches

  • Credit: While this is an unpaid internship, we can offer college credit.

  • Is Punctual & Organized: Capable of keeping themselves accountable.
